Delphine Avril Planqueel is a French fashion and art photographer, her creative journey began in front of the camera as an international model.
Her transition behind the camera was a natural extension of her deep visual intuition and creative mind.
Over the years, she has cultivated a signature style that fuses intimacy, edge, and dreamlike, often referencing film, painting, and underground subcultures, informed by her strong understanding of light, form, and storytelling.
She honed her technical skills through a formal photography internship at Auckland’s best photographic Studios and quickly rose to prominence as one half of a critically acclaimed fashion photography duo with Karen Inderbitzen-Waller, whose work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Russh, Love Want, and Commissioned for the Auckland War Memorial Museum in collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum's touring exhibition Selling Dreams exhibited in galleries including Saatchi & Saatchi and the Gus Fisher Gallery.
Forging over 20 years in New Zealand and Australasia, where she established herself as one half of a renowned creative duo, Delphine has returned to Paris and Europe.
Together they produced a photographic book “Smoke and Mirrors” stocked Internationally including at Colette and Librairie Yvon Lambert.
In 2016, they were selected by Alessia Glaviano, senior photo editor at Vogue Italia, for an exclusive portfolio review one of only 12 photographers worldwide invited.
Delphine now works solo, she focuses on fashion campaign, editorial , portraiture, and personal art projects, with a base in Paris and an eye on the world. Her practice is grounded in a soft sexual tension, with every image telling a story beyond the frame.
